I'm not sure that you would remember us, but my husband and I purchased one of your puppies back in August. We are from Albany NY. We named her Hazel, and I have to tell you she is a trip!! I have attached some pictures for you to see. I must say, now that she is almost full grown (11 months old) she is one of the most beautiful Vizslas I have ever seen. She has a "personality" like no dog I have ever met. When we first started researching the breed, all of the books said to be prepared for a lap dog, well they weren't kidding!! At 45lbs she sits on our laps at all times. She also loves to be picked up and held (as you will see in the picture). She LOVES to run full speed in our back yard. She runs like a race horse. In appearance she meets, if not exceeds the breed standard. She is also highly intelligent. She can learn a command or trick in a matter of minutes (if she chooses to listen). In obedience class she excels at the obstacle courses. We are so blessed to have her as a part of our family. We thank you for everything you and your beautiful dogs have done. Just a short note to let you know that we are enjoying our two Vizslas. Baily has stole Carol's heart and has became one of the family. Buddy (my sons pup) has done the same. Attached are some of our favorite pictures of Jasmine (Jazz). She's an amazing puppy (now a 9 month old dog), and has been a great addition to our family. We take her to run in some nature reserves and fields a few times a week, where she has been known to point and flush game birds and other animals. Lucy is the joy of our life; she is a loving and intelligent dog. She is all things to all of us, she loves to cuddle and be the "lapdog" for me, yet she pleases the male side of the family by being the perfect hunting companion. Boomer is great. I would highly recommend you as a breeder. It is tough buying a dog online, however your description and detail about your dogs was evident upon arrival. I specifically asked for the most mellow dog of the litter, and Boomer seems to be the perfect fit for my kids (ages 4 and 7) as well us my wife and I. He spends a good portion of the day lying near the closest heat source. When not lying around, he is the perfect playmate for the kids. He has trained very well. He has great disposition and no visible imperfections for those looking for show dogs.  Chad

I have known Dennis and his family for over 10 years. When Dennis started breeding V's, I worked with him to find a good stud dog for his female. At that time, he had one of the top female lines in the breed. We located a top stud and he raised his first litter with these two great lines. Since then, he has continued to breed to only the best by seeking to improve with each successive breeding. I have owned V’s since 1991 and believe that Dennis is doing all the right things to breed right and socialize the pups. I could have purchased from any one of several breeders here in Idaho, Wash. or Oregon but choose Dennis because of the health and quality of his dogs. You can spend more or less but you can not buy a better, smarter, or healthier dog. Our old dog is 14 and 1/2 and still moves very well for his age. The second reason that I chose Windy Ridge Kennels was because it was the closest to the old lines that I know and trust.  In summary, rest assured that if are fortunate enough to get a pup from Dennis, you will be getting the best of the breed from a man that has not only given the pup a great start from a very good home, but also will follow-up later to make sure you and your new buddy are happy.
