My name is Dennis Bissen and my family and I are lucky enough to reside in the southwestern part of Iowa on beautiful farmland.

Back in the year 1993, I discovered an exceptional breed of hunting dog called Vizsla. I was so taken by these dogs - not only because of their beauty but more so because of their exceptional temperament.

After having my Vizsla, a female named ‘Bay’ as a personal family pet for years, I decided that I wanted to breed them. That is how Windy Ridge Kennel came into existence.

I have created this website to help potential owners of Vizslas understand not only the breed of dog, but to see the quality, love, care and pride that I take in raising each and every pup.
